Random Cards...

I decided to make some cards for my parents, for part of their Christmas gifts. I made 4 of each. The Valentine's card is based off a sketch from Clean & Simple, from a while ago. The Mother's Day card is CASED from one I saw on SCS. The Birthday card is using the *new* dies and stamp set from PTI - Banner Builder. LOVE THEM!!! So fun to work with!! :)

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 37

It's time for an all new challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. This week, the challenge is...Pick A Cause, Help A Cause. You pick any cause or charity, and make a card for them. It's that easy!
If you know me, then you know that I chose Operation Write Home. Love this organization! I have been making cards for OWH for a few years now. In short, OWH collects handmade cards, ships them to our troops overseas, so the troops can keep in touch with loved ones back here in the US. On a personal note...My brother is currently in Afghanistan, as a firefighter in the USAF. I submitted his info to OWH. Last week, my brother emailed me saying that he got a box of cards from OWH. It was so touching to know that after making hundreds of cards for OWH, that now my brother will be one of the many service men and women touched by OWH. Makes my heart smile! :)
Our sponsor this week is June Lanum. She provided the DT with some beautiful trinket pins and crocheted flowers. They worked perfectly on my cards! Thanks, June!

Valentine's Cards for OWH

There is a challenge going on over at Operation Write Home. Archway cookies is pairing up with OWH. The more Valentine's cards that OWH receives, the more Archway cookies will be sent over to the troops. I would really love if my brother got some cookies! So in the midst of my busy life, I stopped everything and made 100 Valentine's Day cards for OWH. They are super simple, but fitting for any troop missing their loved one miles and miles away.

STAMPS: Well Scripted
INK: Choc Chip
PAPER: VV, Pink Pirouette
