Good Saturday Morning to you!! This morning kicks off Operation Write Home's Blog Hop. We were asked to make a red, white, and blue card with a "miss you" theme. Well, that was easy for me, since I frequently make patriotic cards for my brother, who is currently in Germany in the US Air Force. You can read more about him HERE. I used this week's layout from Clean & Simple, one of my favorite challenge sites. I love to make large quantaties of the same card, when I donate them to Operation Write Home. Easier for my brain, that way! ;)
At the end of the weekend, I will randomly choose one lucky person who comments on this post. He/She will win this yummy blog candy!! A pack of Martha Stewart 24 sheets of 12 x 12 Crafting Paper (pretty shades of white, kraft, and light coral with lovely designs on each) AND a pack of Stampin Up's Fresh Cut Notes cards and envelopes!!!
My inspiration for doing this Blog Hop came from my brother and from Operation Write Home. Love this organization. I support them every chance I can.
So please let's continue Blog Hopping this morning and give some love to our next in line... Christine's Crafting Capers ...

Hi Nicole! I'm sorry the blog links were broken. I set my blog to post at 7:00 a.m went to bed, then got up early to go to work. When I got home I had an email in my inbox that Michelle, who I linked to, decided not to participate. Well, I didn't receive my email notifying me of that until 12:30 a.m. when I was asleep and I didn't check my email when I left for work this morning, so I didn't see the blog link was broken until now. I just fixed the link.

Hi Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteI am Country Wings your newest follower. I love your card that you have created for the OWH soldiers box of love. How creative and so differant than others that I have seen. The yellow really pops against the red, white and blue. Beautiful, just beautiful.
I have never made a card, and am going searching through the house to find something to create some with. I have been shut in for a month and have 2 more weeks to go before I can go outside. I have spent (8) days in the hospital with my lungs and chronic asthma. This is something I could do from the recliner and still feel useful. I have been very sad shut in and not being able to do anything.
Thank you for your inspiration. I would so love to have you stop by and say hi. I would be so honored if you signed up to follow my blog as well.
Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
Nice card. I like the yellow ribbon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card...of course the colors are fabulous - I am also a fan of clean and simple. Best thoughts for your brohter!
