The Shabby Tea Room - Week 24

Welcome to an all new challenge for The Shabby Tea Room. This week's challenge is inspired by a beautiful bracelet. We are also to use a bit of metal on our cards. So I just had to dust off my Hodgepodge Hardware that I hoard. I've had it over over a year and have only used about 10 pieces from it...Hence the metal on this card! :) Time to start using it!!

Our generous sponsor this week, Some Odd Girl, provided the DT with our choice of a digi image. This caterpillar was too cute to pass up!

The Shabby Tea Room - Week #23

Good Monday to you! This week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is all about Roses, inspired by a beautiful photo. I have soo many flower stamps, but surprisingly only 1 rose stamp! The horror! :) So I just had to ink it up for this card.

Our sponsor this week, Squigglefly, was generous enough to provide the DT with a digi image of our choice. Of course I chose I Pledge Allegiance, in honor of my brother. I am a proud sister of a US Air Force firefighter, so this stamp is just perfect for me. :)

The Shabby Tea Room ~ Week 22

Well, hello again!! It's time for an all new challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. This week's challenge is titled, "Reflections". There is a beautiful inspiration photo that includes yummy shades of gray, vanilla, and black. I turned to some of my favorite DSP, Walk in the Park, for my background papers.
This ADORABLE image is from Isabella's Sketchbook, a website offering some of the cutest digi stamps around! This image is called Great Adventure. Love that elephant. Reminds me of, well, me right now! Sad that some of the closest people in my life are so far away - my good friend is in MN, my brother and sister in law are in Germany, our families are in PA, CT, NY, and FL. :( Makes me sad. But I do have a TON of close friends in NC that make me smile everyday!! :)
We're hosting a FOLLOW ME contest in the Tea Room this week and it's sponsored by Blackleaf Studios! Already a follower ... you're entered! Become a new follower for your chance to win a gorgeous, VINTAGE digi set of 12 images!

Another Quilt...

I made this quilt for my cousin's daughter, who is turning 2. The fabric is a jelly roll from Moda, called Marbles Pastels (I think). The pattern was easy - just my kind! :) Hope she likes it!
I've been quilting for 3 years, and the other day I decided to try to figure out how many quilts I've made in the past 3 years...19!! Yep, 19 quilts in 3 years. Granted they were all very easy, not too big, and practically all of them were for gifts. Gotta love it! :)

The Shabby Tea Room ~ Week 21

Good Monday morning to you! It's time for an all *new* challenge this week, at The Shabby Tea Room. This week's challenge is to incorporate a house into a card or project, and to use yummy shades of cream, brown, and blue. As you are aware, I am so hooked on Baja Breeze, as well as Parisian Breeze DSP (yep, still hoarding a pack from last year...) So I was super excited to make this card - using my favorite color and papers! :)
Our very generous sponsor this week is Jen Pens. They provided the DT with a sample of pens. I chose atyou Spicas. They are glittery gel pens - so yummy! I used them on the house and trees, as well as to make the polka dots on the scallops. Fun fun!!
