The Shabby Tea Room - Week 36

It's time for an all new challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. This week's challenge is "What are you thankful for?" and is inspired by a yummy cupcake photo.
This week I decided to make a scrapbook page, using My Digital Studio, by Stampin Up. I had fun creating this page for this challenge. I have so much to be thankful for, as you can tell from this scrapbook page.
Our sponsor this week is: Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. Be sure to check out her store for some great ribbon!!

The Shabby Tea Room ~ Week 29

This week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is "pastels and pearls", inspired by a beautiful photo. I decided to "try" to catch up on some scrap booking, hence my pastel and pearl page. This photo is of my baby, Gianna, from last Christmas. She's now 18 months old. I love her expression in this pic - yes, she's still that silly - all the time! :)
Those adorable snowmen stamps are compliments of our sponsor this week, Just Rite Stampers. Love their products!! I have a "thing" for snowmen, so I HAD to have this set!

The Shabby Tea Room - Week 17

This week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is "Make an Impression" - use dry embossing. Yeah! Dry embossing is one technique that I love!! I was totally inspired by a layout created by Jill, one of our previous Tea Room girls. I just love how she made a frame for her photo. I decided to use embossed squares to create a frame. I chose 7 of my favorite embossing folders, made 2 squares from each folder, and voila!!
Our sponsor this week in the Tea Room is Pixie Petals Etsy Shop and Aesa provided the Design Team members with the most gorgeous handmade satin and lace flowers and yummy crocheted fleurettes! The Pixie Petals Etsy Shop offers vintage and vintage-inspired embellishments as well as handcrafted blooms, bits and bobs!
Be sure to stop by the Tea Room and play along! Check out the other Tea Room Design Team Blogs for more inspiration! :)

The Shabby Tea Room Week #9

This week's challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is to create a card or project using chipboard. Well that was truly a challenge for me, since I rarely use chipboard. Since I am so far behind on scrap booking, I decided to make a page using chipboard. I inked up the letters with Brilliance Pigment Ink and voila - silver chipboard! :) These photos are from Christmas - and yes, it's now May...At least this challenge forced me to create a page - gotta love it! :)
RECIPE:
STAMP: none :(
INK: Brilliance Pigment Ink - Starlite Silver
PAPER: WW, Blue Bayou, Wintergreen DSP, Brushed Silver
OTHER: Corner Rounder Punch, Chipboard Letters, Cricut Cart for Scallop Edging

I have an unopened pack that I refuse to dive into! :)

My First Digital Page with MDS

Today I decided to put down the fabric, paper, and scissors. After seeing so many great My Digital Studio (MDS) pages on various blogs, I decided to give it a try. I have been digital scrapbooking for over 3 years now, with different software. Since I am so hooked on Stampin Up (with everything so match-y match-y), I had to have this new software. Let me tell you, I am addicted. I was like a kid in a candy shop - picking out ribbon, paper, and stamps (oh my!). So this page will be the first page of our 2009 book. Every Christmas for the past 3 years, I have made a digital scrapbook to give to close family members. It's kind of like a "year in review". This scrapbook will definately be the best to date. This page is very simple, so I will probably add to it. And guess what!?! My craft room is neat and clean - no mess to clean up with digital scrapbooking!
Have a good weekend!
